In 1910, Otto Wallach won the Nobel Prize for his research on alicyclic chemical compounds. He also received honorary fellowships from the Chemical Society in 1908, honorary doctorates from the Universities of Manchester and Leipzig, and recognition from the Braunschweig Technological Institute.
