World UFO Day, a day devoted to unexplained flying objects, is observed every year on July 2. It basically serves as a day of awareness for people all around the world to come together and search the skies for UFOs. Some people even commemorate it on June 24. The July 2 festivities aimed to increase public awareness of “the undeniable existence of UFOs” and persuade governments to declassify their records on UFO sightings. The infamous 1947 Roswell incident, which involved an alleged UFO crash, is remembered on July 2.
