The vimana tower, which towers over the shrine, is among South India’s tallest buildings. One of India’s largest Shiva lingas and a massive colonnaded prakara can be found at this temple. It is also known for the excellent level of its sculpture in addition to being the location where Shiva, the lord of dance, was contracted to produce the bronze Nataraja in the eleventh century. There are shrines for several different gods within the complex, including Nandi, Parvati, Murugan, Vinayagar, Sabhapati, Dakshinamurti, Chandikeshwar, Varahi, and Thiyagarajar of Thiruvarur. A major tourist spot in Tamil Nadu is the temple.
