Sagar Kant, Saurashtra, in the Gujarati state is home to the majestic temple known as Somnath. At Jyotirlinga located in Somnath, one of Lord Shiva’s 12 holy Jyotirlingas can be found. The Rigveda also refers Somnath. Many destructive foreign invaders have been drawn to this temple of Somnath by its allure and want to become its followers. It has always been repaired after every attempt by the temple to destroy it.
